Security

At PaperMend we understand the importance of security, particularly for our business customers, and we are committed to provide a secure environment within which your documents are managed. We take a range of measures to protect your account, your documents, our business system, our website and our computers.

All our customers are issued with their own log-in and changeable password. You are recommended not to disclose these and to ensure they are not accessible to others. If you forget your password please click on the "forgotten password" button on the Log-in area accessible from the left-hand panel of the Home page.

Each of our customers has access to their own secure area for communicating with PaperMend Editors and Admin. Each secure area of the site is protected by SSL encryption, identifiable by the letters 'https' at the start of the web address and the yellow padlock icon on the browser status bar. Secure areas are equipped with the means to transfer files within the security protection provided by our hosting service. To increase security we prohibit transfer of documents via e-mail.

Our business system is designed to the quality standards of ISO 9001, with security of data as one of our prime objectives. Data processing is in accordance with the UK Data Protection Act 1998. We regularly carry out security reviews of our system to identify any areas where we can make improvements.

Our website is designed with in-built protection measures, and we provide our computers with the latest continually updated protection software. You are recommended to install and maintain anti-virus software on your own computer(s) for your own protection and to help prevent contamination spreading to others.

We have a policy that we do not keep any personal bank account or company bank account details on the website or its associated database. All such information is securely stored off line.

Whilst we are committed to security and take all reasonable precautions, we cannot offer any guarantee of security.
